Help! My quail chick swallowed a hair!!

I have a week old quail chick who has been perfectly healthy and happy. Every once in a while we let him walk around on our carpet. Today we noticed that there was a hair sticking out of his mouth. We vacuum our floors daily so we are not sure how he got the hair. We attempted to pull it out but i is stuck and not moving. We let him drink some water and checked again but he has swallowed the hair. Now he has been retching for the past 30 minutes. Should I be worried?

full grown birds swallowing hairs is not a problem. but if your chick is throwing up i don't know what to do. it might be a totally different reason or maybe he/she's just trying to get the hair out? @Nabiki @Kiki @007Sean @Tycine1 @Fenrisulfr ?
