we don't have her separated yet. we could do that. She loves the sun

we haven't washed it yet. I've never washed a quails eye so i don't really know how to do that.
Separating her gives her a chance to heal in quiet and removes her from the others if she is getting pecked at. As for washing her eye, I would try a soft, damp cloth, though how successful you are will depend on how calm she is.
I usually start with these steps if I have an injured bird. I'm not an expert, and I'm not a vet, so keep this in mind:
1. Separate bird from others (If it's an injury, it keeps others from pecking at it, and if it's disease, it quarantines the sick bird)
2. Clean the area in question
3. Use Blu-kote if it's particularly bloody to protect and disinfect the wound
4. Make sure the bird is in a warm enclosure (they need the warmth to heal)
5. Watch for further developments. If it starts to heal, let it. If it gets worse, either cull or take to vet (vet's not really an option for me since they're livestock not pets, but if one dies from illness I would send it in for a necropsy to find out what killed it)
