Help my roo is pulling feathers out from my hens. I have him away from the hens and my other roos. But he is so sad and is crowing a lot. I don't know what to do? please help

Hi, welcome to the forum! Glad you joined! :frow

How old is he and the others? Are the girls laying yet?

Cn you describe what it looks like when he is pulling feathers? Is it any special time or place? Where is he pulling feathers from, the head or some other place?

Thanks so my roo is named happy feet he is a month and half so are the others . no the girls aren't laying yet. he is pulling feathers from the tail

Six weeks old, still chicks and just fully feathered. I was expecting adolescent behaviors, closer to 16 weeks. I'm not sure what is going on or if it is even a problem. You can try isolating him for away from the girls for three or four days and see if that changes his behavior.

Are they crowded? If you can increase how much room they have you might fix it. Crowding can encourage bad behaviors.

Welcome, I too am wondering about space and how the space is set up. Could you post a picture? Are they outside?

um I haven't built them a coop yet so they are out side I take them in at night I will send a pic soon
