Help my rooster is trying to mate with my ducks

I raised goslings with a much older injured male duckling. The duck & goslings think they are all the same type of bird, and oddly the cotton patch goslings match the runner duck color wise. Anyways, the male duck mounts both geese and ducks and bosses both. Was your roo raised with ducklings? At hatch time I frequently will put a duckling in with chicks but they seem to go their own way as they age. The duck and geese are going strong at year 2. Even after adding a pair of much larger buff geese the duck still rules.

Makes sense now. Happens like human females making eggs every month naturally.
RIght! You might also be interested to know that the yolk does not grow into a chick. Instead, the yolk provides the nutrients that nourish the fetus that becomes the baby chick. The chick starts out as a tiny cluster of cells on the outside of the yolk. If there is no rooster, or the egg is not fertilized, you may see a tiny white dot. If it is fertilized, that little dot will look like a bull's-eye. Sometimes it's hard to make out the difference. Takes practice!

I have a 13 week old easter egger rooster, named Rocky. He started crowing at about 10 weeks old, then about a week ago, probably last week or so, he started trying to mate with my two hen ducks, both khaki Campbell's and also 13 weeks old. He doesn't try to mate with the hens, just the ducks. It makes them so mad too! They both peck at his feet and his legs when he does that ..
Is he just young and dumb, or just dumb? Anyone know if this is normal behavior?
Thanks
Call the NFL, that’s 2/3 of a Turduckin!
