Research and raise funds for installing a wind turbine for your local school or community.

Dutch Gardens offers fundraisers where you sell flower bulbs and 1/2 the profits go to the non-profit organization the fund raiser is for. You could give the donation to your local animal shelter or other group.

My highschool had an environmental club and they collected cans and got some money from that, but that is about as much as they did. If your school allows pop and they recycle it you could try to do something with that and earn some money for projects.
