HELP...need photo to become avatar

I have tried EVERYTHING to get one of my photos to become my avatar & it always says file too large. I have saved many smaller versions & it just won't post. I am using adobe photoshop ....any suggestions?

Remember to change the size from 200 to 100 though!!!!
