Help needed to I.D. Marans Roo

Hi everyone,
I have a Marans rooster that was hatched out of a batch of cuckoo marans eggs. He doesn't look like any of my other cuckoo roos. I was wondering what kind of marans he is or is he just an off color type Marans. I am pretty new to the breed and would appreciate someone who knows more about them to give me a suggestion to why he is colored this way. Thanks/ Steelshot

Hi, sorry I can't help with any answers. I did have some different colors pop up or out so to speak.This is a rooster I hatched from my Cuckoo Marans this summer. I also had black hens hatch out.

I really like the color of your rooster.

He is a pale colored Golden Cuckoo.

He is a golden cuckoo Marans. If you go to this site, you will see a picture of a roo just like him under golden cuckoo Marans.

the top one is a golden cuckoo and the white one is called a splash cuckoo. Evidently someone has more then one kind of cuckoo together
