Help needed!!

I have noticed some of our birds breathing with their beaks open and seem to be lethargic....it is almost as if they are gasping. Should I treat the whole flock of 13 or just isolate the ones showing these behaviors. I worry about antibiotics and how if will effect our egg consumption. Help please....we are newbies at this!!

Hi,I had a similar situation. I would treat the whole flock and we asked our vet about antibiotics/egg consumption and he prescribed tylan to put in the water. There is no withdrawal period for eating eggs with this.Hope this helps

Yes, this is a huge help!! I only have tetracycline and it notes not to give to birds if eggs are consumed. I have a call in to the vet now.....thank you thank you!!
