Hello friends have a quick help needed question. Please see video. Have never seen one of my ducks do this. Can you help?

Shea walking around shaking her head. Not sure what's up. I don't see anything on her .

She may have something stuck in her throat. Can you pick her up and gently run you hand up and down her neck to feel if something is stuck. Also check inside her mouth looking down towards her throat. And does she have a deep bowl or buckets to wash her face and get lots of water?

Thank will do that now and let you know

Once my goose found some netting laying somewhere out in their yard area I happen to come out right as she was swallowing it and there was still enough hanging out of her bill for me to gently pull it out. I can’t imagine her living if she has swallowed the whole of it. You never know what these birds will pick up and eat

Well yes , we have that corrected, but now I see what the real issue was. See attached photo. I've never seen thus before... did some other duck scratch her eye? Where is that foam coming from

Foamy eye is something water fowl can get. It can be caused by dust or something else has irritated the eye. Look up saline rinse for eyes and start rinsing her eye out. Also Terramycin eye ointment can help. If my Muscovy get foamy eye I add ACV to their drinking water at 1 tab to each gallon of water. And speaking of water can she fully dunk her head to keep her face and eyes washed out?when using the saline rinse you can use a cotton ball saturate it with the saline and let it run into her eye if something is under the eye lid causing irritation hopefully it will be washed out.

They are doing construction up on the next farm.up the hill and cutting down a lot.of trees... wonder if that could be a factor? Yes she can dunk her head and body if she'd like... thank you for the saline tip. I'll try that here in a few. And will look up the other . What is ACV?
