Our baby rhode island red started sleeping standing up and seemed really weak.
We noticed she hadn't drank in quite some time so I started to give her water from my finger. She took the water and so I started to use a dropper slowly. She seemed to really want the water. After a few minutes I stopped and because she was making long gasping type motions with her neck and beak and has been totally silent I wondered if somethig might be stuck in her throat or what could be wrong. She was SO loud only yesterday - now totallyyyyyy silent :(

When I rubbed gently she just spit up all the water. I rubbed her lower tumy and she finally let out a chirp -- so she IS capable. BUT she is just kind of limp and sleeping sooo much and also sleeping standing up.
One of her wings hangs lower than the other does, but I don't think it's broken :(

I have NO idea what to do.
I feel like such a mother hen-- I thought she was dehydrated and that was what caused her to be so weak and tired-- now I think it's all the darn fussing I did!
HELP!
I need a chick nanny. She looked like she was dying in my hands :(

The baby passed :( I was holding her. I knew it was coming but there was nothing I could really do. I have NO idea what was wrong. :( So sad. Will be a sad morning when the kiddos wake up.
