Our mascovy duck came off her best with 13 baby ducks three days ago and left two behind. We looked after them and they pulled through. However we have noticed that one of the ducks is not as lively as the other and doesn't eat as much. It much prefers to sleep. The duck is also not as big as its siblings. Do we need to worry or is this normal of a 4 day old duckling

It may still be weak from the prolonged hatch or it may have a congenital problem. Hopefully it will survive.

You should be concerned. Ducklings should always be eating by that time. Is it drinking? If so, you should get some Nutri-Drench or some other type of poultry vitamin supplement that can be added to the water. Until it starts to eat, it's going to have to get nutrients somehow or it's not going to make it.

Can you tell us what you're trying to feed them? We use crumbles at that age. When I'm having trouble getting them to eat from their dish, I sprinkle some crumbles on a towel in their brooder. Since ducklings instinctively like to peck at bits of things around them, I can usually get them to take some food that way.
