HELP!!!!!!! NEW HATCHER!

Are you thinking of buying an incubator? Have you already got eggs to hatch? LOL Make a list of your questions and give us some more info and we'll help. You are also very welcome to come join us on this thread here: Diary & Notes ~ Air Cell Detatched SHIPPED Eggs It started out with a batch of shipped eggs, hence the title and turned into a never ending hatch along with tons of great info. We love having new hatchers on the thread and between us we will happily help and advice you (and talk a bit of nonsense in-between).

How many eggs do you have? What is your budget? You plan on hatching in the more in the future? There is much to take into consideration.

The more information you can provide on your particular situation and ideas, the better guidance that can be given.

Brinsea you get 1 to hatch anywhere from 7 to 580 eggs. 7,10,24, and 48 would probably be the more common ones. To me, Brinsea seems a little fancier and pricier.

On the cheaper side we have the Farm Innovations and the Hovobator.

There are plenty of others. These are just some I recently looked looked at.

LOL... sorry you guys I know better than to leave out the important stuff. How long have we all been here????? I am just eggcited I guess. Looks like probably a dozen eggs (dont have the exact number yet) I wont have the eggs for a week or two yet. Dont have the exact date (yea, I am jumping the gun I know, no specifics). I want a good unit that will last and is dependable, but not off the wall expensive. I will only be hatching in small batches when I do hatch more on down the road- at most once a year 6 - 12 at a time.

I guess i feel like a first time pregant woman. I just found out I am pregnant, never delivered a child before and OMG now what????

I want to give them the best 'pregnancy' possible.

Sumi, I will be there on that thread as soon as I get some specifics. thank you soooo much!

You're welcome! We'd love to have you there. Come over and introduce yourself so long, maybe someone will have some incubator recommendations for you. I'm only familiar with Brinsea and I believe they are a bit expensive in the States. Excellent incubators though.

Just got the word!!! I wont the flapper contest on the hatch a long 2nd place!!!! 6+ Chocolate Orpington eggs!!!!!!!!

Congrats! A good starter one that seem popular is the GQF Genesis 1588 digital. You can keep the price down and not purchase the egg turner and just turn them yourself, since you think you will be doing small hatches. I ordered mine directly from GQF. You can also look at the Brinsea mini advance, I believe they have one that holds 6 or 10 eggs. Good luck.
