Help on incubator temp. (URGENT)

Hello, I have a Roll-x RX2 forced air incubator I have borrowed from school. It hasn't been used in "quite a while" my teacher said.
I set it up and got everything working, turned the one middle knob up all the way and after 14 hours the max stayed about at 96.2-96.7. This is what I was reading off of a reptilian/amphibian thermometer that read humidity plus air that we bought since we didn't know what battery the other one needed. The incubator I'm using is forced air which , if I remember, takes the air outside and "heats" it. The incubator is located in our storage room in the basement, where everything is cement. The incubator is directly on the cement floor and it's about 60-70 degrees down there. Just now we finally found and bought the battery for the thermometer that came with it and it reads 97.7 (the problem is that it doesn't stay on and right after I read the temp it turns off). I already placed the 3 eggs in there since I can't wait any longer. I also turned up the second knob, so technically the incubator is maxed, aka I can't turn anything up any more.

Any advice on howling being the temp up to 99.5, or are my thermometers wrong? One is old and one isn't meant for incubators.

Get your incubator up off the concrete for starters. Most incubators are intended to be run in a room that is between 65 and 75 degrees. I think you may want to find a warmer room for the incubator. You will have a very poor hatch rate if you try to incubate eggs at 96 degrees.

Thanks for the advice, moved it off the co create and the temp began rising. The old thermometer won't turn on, but when it was working it was about 10 degrees higher than than reptile one. When I left it it had climbed to 98, hoping in an hour it'll be at 99.5! I only have 3 eggs in there and don't plan on adding more, (will be candling soon to see if any are even developing), so I can't afford to have a poor hatch rate since my rate is already low..
