Chicks didn't come in contact with that, but I do use it in their house as bedding... though nothing new since the nesting started.Did chicks come in contact with stuff from the outside? Soil, compost, leaves, dirt?
No there's little bugs. They're fast... And crawling in and out of their vents. How deep in they're going I don't know.... but in their fluff and in and out of the vent.I can't really tell but try put out fresh paper towels for them all to poop on so maybe you can get a better look at what it is.
It's very rare for chicks this young to have ingested something already causing worms so perhaps it could be intestinal lining or a cecal poop?

Sorry I tried but these are not clear!!Is a vet a possibility? I hope these are not maggots.
How about a nice clear pic of the mother's vent, maybe we can see something more clearly from that.
