I’ve got a chicken egg that piped 48ish hours ago and has made no progress, do I need to assist. Help! Chick isn’t responding to any movement of the egg! Is it dead!!!

Of it’s been 48 hours since external pip you can start to open the egg where the pip is
Go slowly and look for veins
Using coconut oil to wet the membrane helps look for veins
I use a q tip to put it on

Can you see the beak? Use your fingers to gently chip to find the beak.

I use my finger ti he honest
I tried tools once and got a vein
I’m not sure if it’s passed
Some get stuck and done give up
My fingers are crossed baby is ok

There’s nothing to chip at currently, just a pip

Is the pip at the correct end of the egg? i.e. on the fat end?

I use tweezers. You should be able to peel back just the shell from the pip. Don't make a big hole instead make a line like a zip

This was all I could do, it doesn’t seem to be moving and isn’t chirping, think I might have lost the fellow
