Help Please, need quick advice, Building coop/Run.

Hey Guys, so I'm building my coop/run right now, and my plan is the coop over the run, and the plan called for the run to be 2 ft tall, but my husband is wondering if that will be high enough, they will have free run of the backyard most of the time, but they will be confined to the run when we are not home (We work from home so that isn't often). Anyway, is a 2 ft high run adequate, or should it be taller?

I'm guessing the chickens would be happier with more like 3-4 feet. I always see my chickens jumping around!

Ok, we'll do 3 feet, that will make the whole thing like 7 feet tall, so I don't think I can go any taller, LOL.

Just wanted to say thanks guys! I went with 3 feet, and have the run all framed now, and it looks wonderful! Just need to get new chicken wire or hardware cloth as I bought the 2 foot tall stuff
