I had gotten an order of ducklings from ideal poultry. 9 of them. 5 died last week. They are about 2- 3 weeks old now. This is a replacement order because all of my previous order from them had died within the first 4 days.
The ducks were given sugar in their water as instructed by ideal & electrolytes for a few days afterwards.
The ducks just randomly died last week, all within a 2 day period.
Today I went to check on them & the smallest one is acting crazy. I dont even know how else to describe it. He is like spinning around in circles & he seems to not be able to contol his neck movements. I had to hold him so that he was able to drink. He falls over himself & jerks his neck around constantly. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I brought him downstairs with me and have him set up in a little box where he has easier access to water & away from anyone who might trample him. I googled his symptoms & came up with nothing. I also added electrolytes to his water. I dont want this one to die too..help please
