Can anyone help please I’ve just had a chick with splayed leg hatch I used the rubber band method to help correct this issue but it’s been 2 days and he’s still not walking or drinking or eating and is getting very weak now! What else can I do for him ?

There may be something else than splay leg. Can you post a picture? Can you feed the chick some egg yolk and water with a dropper? Mix a little chick feed with water and try holding her to eat some. Give her water first to get her hydrated. A chick chair may be helpful, but get some fluids into her first. Sometimes standing them upright in a heavy padded coffee cup or glass may help them build up leg strength and balance.

I prefer using vet wrap or a bandaid cut lengthwise for leg hobbles:

Can you get some chick vitamin tonic or some human vitamin B complex, and crush 1/4 tablet and give it daily mixed in water? Can it crawl around if you remove the leg band? I would let it stand in a cup some of the time and also let it crawl or scoot around to see if it can learn to eat. I have hatched a couple of chicks who would bend over backward, and never could stand at all. After 2 days of no improvement with chick B vitamins, I put them down. The chick might have a leg bone deformity or slipped tendon in the one leg, instead of splay legs.
