Butterscotch vomited a bit today and is very lathargc. I did the 'vomit masage' where you angle the hen down and masage their crop from bottom to top to expel excess fluids. She gagged a bit and did several drinking motions, but barely any fluid came out. I have her in a special single coop pen with no water or food (I read to do that for twelve hours online) Even though I definately saw her drinking before I picked her up.

I am very nervous because this is how her mother, Buffy, died. She started vomitting a LOT and then had a siezure and died in my arms.

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this! I'm sure someone more qualified will step in soon to help you. Was she actually throwing up or drooling? Clear liquid or something she ate? Chickens can aspirate quite easily and I think that would be the biggest immediate concern. I also worry since you mentioned it happened to her mother. Does her abdomen feel distended or squishy? I hope she pulls through! :hugs

Her crop is a bit squishy. The fluid was yellow and smelled awful, just like her mom. I'm pretty worried right now.

Update: I gave her apple cider vinegar, she wont stand, is making a weird sound with her beak open, and is now placed in her coop with the water in front of her.

I'm so sorry no one else has stepped in to help yet. :(
All I can do is tell you what I would do in this situation. It sounds like she may be aspirating/choking in which case the only thing I would know to do is clear her airways. When I had a hen with sour crop it didn't get to the point that you're describing so I won't go over that treatment because your hen is in too bad shape from the sound of it.
The reason I asked earlier if he abdomen felt squishy is because another condition I thought of was water belly, which is unfortunately a sign that there is liver failure but it's usually quite evident with the squishy feeling in the abdomen (not the crop). I'm still hopeful someone with more experience in this area will step in to help you. :fl

This is a good way to 'drown' a bird...the fluid ends up in their lungs and they die.

Did she drink the ACV on her own?

Here's some good info about crop issues and how to treat them:
