My sweet duckling has had two seizures! The first one that we witnessed, she just seemed super disoriented, like she didn't know which way was up. We picked her up carefully, and held her up right, and she was fine. The second time, I was hold her in a blanket to warm her up after a bath, and she neck went back, and she started convulsing. Her beak kept flapping, but no noise came out of her. This lasted for a about a minute, and then she came to. She feel asleep for a little bit after, I am sure she was exhausted. Am I wrong in my conclusion of seizures? I have a avian vet appointment for her this Thursday, I am hoping they can help, but what can I do in the mean time?

Is she crested? Could she have eaten something when you weren't with her?

She could have something lodged in her throat, too, it could be toxicity, or nerve damage. So hard to tell.

You could try putting activated charcoal (food grade, not briquettes) in her water, about two teaspoons in a pint of water. It will do no harm and may absorb any toxins in her digestive tract.

How is she doing tonight?
