Ok I am getting worried. I made my incubator. Had it running for 3 days straight and was perfect. I put my eggs in yesterday and can't keep the humidity steady. How much fluctuation will kill them. It has went from 70 down to 40 3 times now. The only thing I can think of is the fan is too powerfull and drying it out too fast but if I turn fan off it is too cold at the bottom of the incubator. I have tried making more cent holes and no holes at all it won't hold steady. Any advise???

For chicken eggs humidity of 40%-50% is fine, if you do a dry incubation you can go down to 30% even, for the first 18 days. Unless you live at a high altitude where you need the humidity to be higher (45%+). When you lockdown on day 18 you bump the humidity up to 60%-70%.Some humidity fluctuations are o.k. as long as it's not for too long and too frequent.
