Hello!

Today is day 21 on incubating. I moved my incubator upstairs because I had a hard time getting the humidity up. Now it's up where it should be, but when I moved it, I caused an egg to roll :( now I'm not sure what to do? Will it not be able to hatch if the air sac isn't up? I can't tell now without taking it out and candling! Please help!!!

Phew! Thank you! This is my first hatch, and oh so stressful!!!

Be prepared. Baby chicks are like light bulbs they just suddenly burn out. Some may not hatch at all. Come will hatch & not survive.

Most will do just fine. But you have to be aware some wont.

Thank you :) I've only witnessed one rocking. Is that a sign of anything?

Rocking is a great sign! Won't be long now!The little guy will pip soon. Then they may not do any thing for up to a day.

Though tempting, do not help. During that time the chick is separating it's blood supply from the membrane. Helping usually means the chick bleeds out.

about a day after the pip she will unzip the top of the egg & pop out.

Oh my goodness, thank you! This is so exciting, is it bad that I haven't witnessed any others rocking?
