Thanks again ddawn for your help. I've got three sick girls now, so I think it's probable they have cocci. I am taking a stool sample to a local vet after my kids wake up from their naps today to be sure. In the meantime, I did go ahead and start Corid. All the girls are drinking water except for the really sick one. I will try your idea with the dropper.

So, do you know what the likely hood of survival of those drinking the water with Corid in it? When can I expect to stop seeing blood if they indeed have cocci? Of course I will ask the vet today too, but that's not going to be for a few hours yet.

Too late to answer now, sorry I was out, but I couldn't give you any odds, anyway. Obviously if you can't get the worst one to drink, and the problem is cocci, her chances aren't good, though.

Maybe the vet will have something he can get into her whether she drinks or not. There is a way to put a tube down them and run the liquid into the crop. There is also a way to put the liquid directly into a certain part of the mouth where it is unlikely you will run it into their lungs. I have seen both discussed here but would have to do a search to find this.
