I posted on here a while ago regarding this particular quail as I noticed she was losing feathers on her lower back and was concerned about mites. On inspection we found she didn’t have any mites so put it down to her being the males favourite. However it has since got worse and seems to be bleeding and she seems to be in pain as she no longer lets you hold her, whereas before she was very tame. I’ve attached photos of what it looked like a few months ago and now. I suggested separating her from the rest of the group for a while to allow her time to heal but I’m not sure if this is the best approach as she gets very upset when she’s separated. Should I take her to the vet? Let me know your thoughts please. I’ve attached 2 photos 1 from a few months ago and one from today so you can see the progression

separate her with food and water and she should heal fine.
