is she still alive this morning!?

Get some good pictures of the wounds, it will help alot!

So did the duck not live and you want to know what to do about your other duck missing her? Or do you need help getting the one that got attacked better?

I'm leaning toward you need help with the BFF. How old is the duck? What breed, do you know the sex?
The black runner was a male and died and the blue runner female is alive she is not wounded and has imprinted on me we were going to get a baby blue runner today but I’m worried she be to overprotective for it

She is not hurt just very sad I have her calmed down but she has kinda imprinted on me and won’t let me leave her side we are going to get a baby blue runner today but I’m worried she will be to overprotective and lose that bond with me

i think thats ok for now. She wants to feel secure because she probably witnessed the whole horrible thing. I'd get her a runner friend but I'm not sure which sex would be best. Probably someone else like @Miss Lydia can advise you better but for now I'm leaning toward female. Sometimes drakes can be real butt heads!

Your Runner may not like a duckling and she could injure it. You have to do introductions slowly. And as for imprinted to you when her mate was alive was she still imprinted on you? I don’t see where that would change.
