Morrigan, I have been making excuses for these girls for most of the summer: too hot, too rainy, moulting, snake-scares...It could also be the time of the year, as the days start shortening and the chickens start molting. Many of my older hens (2+ years) stop laying in August. Even the very best of my older layers usually stop in late Sept/October.
I have bought the "boosts" for their feed and something for their water!
I have seen a lot of cycles with my girls over the years, but NEVER one where so many stopped laying at the same time!!
