Help! Rooster

We have a polish rooster 7 months old. Very handsome and nice! We got him as a chick and hoping to have a hen but we weren't so lucky! Unfortunately in our neighborhood, we can't have roosters.
Looking for a good home
Any suggestion where to look?

Craigslist or an ad in the Free paper. You might type in the Free section "polish rooster" and see if anyone is looking for one for their hens. Or post in the Illinois state section here at BYC

You have to be careful offering a free bird, people tend to take them for the wrong reasons - either to eat or do worse things with.

If you post on your state thread other BYCERS will see your offer, and would be taking him for good reasons.

Welcome to the fun, networking also works for re homing, like if you know people in an area where roosters can be kept. I called my sister-in-law, who lives in the country. She doesn't keep chickens, but she knew some one who gave our roo a great home 2 years ago when we had to re home him. I was really attached to him, but I feel good knowing he is living where he can be happy and healthy and have a good life. Hope this helps.
