Help! Separated 16 wk M/F

Hello! I’ve never kept ducks before but a friend decided to purchase fertilized eggs to hatch out with her kids. So at 4 weeks I said I would take them bc I have the space.
I knew once I could tell the drakes from the females they would have to be separated depending on the ratio…well I ended up with 5 females and 4 males.
I recently separated them and their runs share a wall. All they do is pace the wall and quack out at each other and it’s breaking my heart!
Any advice?
I’m hesitant to re home the drakes bc I don’t want them to become someone’s dinner…

rehome the females, i think it would be 100x easier to find pet only homes for them. you can keep a drake flock easier with no girls around
