I have a couple of 8 week olds that I'm not 100% sure about:

Chick #1 Rowena (maybe Rohan?) the Australorp

Chick #2 Black Australorp (TBN)

Both my australorps are quite fluffy butted so I'm hoping theyre both girls!

Chick #3 Patrick I've thought he was a he til I recently learnt he is a wyandotte sport (thought he was a light sussex)

He feathered wayyyyyy slower than all my other chicks and seems to have pointy wing feathers, but not loads of comb/wattles going on so now I'm wondering if he's actually a Patricia

Chick #4 Yoshi the light sussex

Was sure she was a she compared to Patrick but now a little unsure seen Patrick is a different breed. She's always been the biggest of all my chicks with quite thick legs, but is also the fluffiest.

Chick #5 Furgi the Silkie

Am really hoping Fergi is a she. Not a lot of comb/wattle compared to Rusty below

Chick #6 Rusty the silkie

Rusty is such a funny little thing but with all that comb/wattle I'm thinking he probably is a boy!

Rusty and Furgi together. Love this pic!

Any guesses would be amazing!

I only have a couple of those breeds, can't really offer much on the Silkies.

But, I do have some pullet 'lorps, and your top two look like miss's to me. Same with your L/S. I have three, two girls and a roo, the roo is a definite stand out at the same age. Big pink comb, he is the only one to have wattles already and he feathered out in a different pattern to the two girls.

I have also had a couple of 'dottes (only pullets) They have a rose comb so it's harder to pick at that age by the comb alone. By the stance and leg thickness I am going to punt that's it's a Patricia over a Patrick.

Good luck!

I’m so glad you think my little australorps are girls! They are such cute and funny little birds. And Yoshi is a sweetie too! I am fond of Patrick/Patricia too, but I’ve gotten used to him being a he! He/she doesn’t’ particularly act rooish, except sometimes he/she perches higher than the others, as if he’s watching over, but he’s definitely not ‘boss’. So maybe he/she just likes to hang out higher up?

Thanks for your guesses! J

Anyone else wanna have a guess on my babies!?

They all look like girls to me! Not sure on the Silkies though. But the two do look different as far as combs and wattles.
