I have a black cochin bantam (7 weeks old) that came as a "freebie" in a shipment of straight run silkies. I think he's a roo, because his comb developed so quickly, but I don't have any others, so I have nothing to compare against. His comb is mostly yellow, but red at the base. Am I right? Do we have a roo? Soprry the pics are overexposed, and the color isn't very clear.
