help sexing cuckoo maran chick

I'm just wondering, I got some cuckoo maran egg and only one hatched, I heard it possible to sex them this young by there headspots, do you think this is a pullet or a roo ?

I'm just curious if I should go get some more eggs to get more possibility to get a hen, or if I sould wait and see if this is a hen, but what do you think is the gender of this chick?

I don't believe it works on marans, just barred rocks, but I could be wrong.
