I have two kaki Campbell ducks that I am trying to figure out if they are drakes or not. I know, listening to them is the best way to tell, but they are extremely quiet /non talkative and difficult to hear, especially amongst the other ducks. They are around 11 weeks old.

I have one other Swedish Blue who is definitely a Drake also. Is three boys in a flock of eight too many? All except one are of the same age and have been together since day one. I have one older duck who is handicapped(lost a toe to a snapping turtle at her previous home)

3 drakes with 5 hens is certainly too many. Your hens would be abused. Being raised together won’t help in this situation.
I personally recommend a 1:4 or 1:5.

We hatched KC ducklings in May. By the end of summer we wanted the young drakes sold except the one we'd keep and this led to a funny situation...

Since we're newbies at this duck thing we are only able to sex the younglings by voice. The last young drake ready to be sold was definitely not quacking BUT was also not doing the classic drake rasp-croak thing. We thought okay.... everybody does say that the boys find their adult voice later than the girls so it must be that, all clear.

Then the buyer called to say he'll come super late, and all the ducks went to their house in the evening except the being-sold drake which we put in a dog crate to await the transport to his new home...

... And suddenly the air was filled with QUACK QUACK QUACK - it was a girl, she just apparently had not found anything to complain about up until that point. But she had to let us know that being left alone is bad.

So there are definitely girls of the strong and silent type. Be aware :)
