Greetings! This is my first post. I have four chickens...thought they were all hens, but now I’m not so sure. My BO has sprouted a very defined comb and wattles at 8 weeks old. This is my 5-year-old’s favorite of the flock, and he will be devastated if we have to get rid of the chicken if it turns out to be a rooster. We’re already sending another to a sanctuary tomorrow because we have no doubt he’s a dude. I’m worried about the buff though. Just last week, we were sure she was a “she”.

I bought a pair last year and they were 8 weeks when I got them, although they aren't Buffs they are Orpingtons
If you click on the picture it will enlarge so you can see it better The black one on the left is a Roo and the Blue is a hen. Just so you can see comb development at 8 weeks.

Has a lot of comb and wattle development for 8 weeks old so I'm leaning towards cockerel. I agree a full body picture would help.
Good morning! I added a few more photos, one full body. I’m not sure if there’s a better place to put them...I’m learning:) Thank you, everyone!
