hi I am wondering if it's normal for a 7 month old silkie bantam to be standing around in one spot most of the day. I noticed this yesterday when it was colder and I am really concerned. she is laying eggs normally and I am just bewildered by her behavior. she is loved by both roosters and they sit on her often. we had a hen die over the summer with some of the same symptoms. does anyone have any ideas what this could be? is it because of the weather or something else?

I would say no,my silkie hens walk around and are very active(mine are 6 months),i would bring her inside, watch for any unusual symptoms. It is possible she is cold or going broody(one of my girls is currently broody).

you can make a chicken coat or buy a chicken coat
