Hi guys.
First time post but long time reader of BYC. I have a 5 month old hybrid Rouen(picture below isn't him but exactly what he looks like)

He's started acting funny about a week ago, separating himself from the flock, not coming up to eat. He seemed to be okay otherwise but yesterday I found him sitting in the yard by himself and unable to walk. He acts very disoriented and off balance. When I give him food he eats like his normal piglet self and is drinking fine. No diarrhea, no mucus discharge around nose, mouth, cloaca. Seems to be breathing okay, etc, legs and wings and neck all mobile, no wounds or breaks. To put it in perspective, none of my ducks like being less than 10 feet from a human, but he didn't even attempt to run away when I went over to him and picked him up. He isn't quacking, but does hiss at me when I touch him. I currently have him isolated from other ducks, nobody else seems to have any issues.

Anyone with any ideas please let me know.

Thanks!

What feed are you using? Does there appear to be any damage to his legs? Are his legs warm to the touch? Have you checked the bottom of his feet?

He's eating Dumor starter/grower for chicks and ducks because I have 3 younger ducks that aren't off it yet. But they only eat once a day if that and mostly eat bugs and plants in the pond and yard. I have checked his feet and pads, no damage and his legs aren't particularly hot or cold, nor his beak so I don't think he's running a fever.
A friend I have works at a vet and said its most likely some sort of poison he got into. I'm not sure at this point if he'll make it but he does seem to be doing a bit better. Trying to stand and move around in his box and seems to have a bit more strength. I'm hoping whatever it is will pass through his system. He's definitely a fighter.
