I have a 2 year old New Hampshire that is lethargic and not interested in eating. Laying down a lot, and her comb and waddles are almost colorless, very light flesh colored instead of pink or red. I saw her poop a little bright yellow very loose stool. I went to pick her up and she didn't even budge. Should I remove her from the rest of the flock? She is the only one that looks like that out of about 40+ hens..

Sounds exactly like my Orp hen. She's been like that for over a week now. I have to feed her some food daily using a syringe. Today, she managed on her own to eat a few pieces of leaves I put in front of her. My other hens are healthy and don't seem to contract whatever the sick hen has. For this reason, I decide to keep her with her mates so that she won't be lonely. Hope your hen gets better soon.

I have two hens with the same symptoms: yellow poops and lethargic. I've looked at the chain pet stores for some kind of anti diarrhea meds, but the only thing I've come up with is "wet-tail drops" for hamsters and mice. I have one store close by that sells animal feed but not much in anti- or pro- botics. Does anyone have a recommendation for this condition?
