i had a barred rock 1 year old rooser, who was healthy as a horse until one day I sent out and he couldn't walk very good on one leg, the closer I looked I realized that he could take a couple of steps, then it was like he had lost all equilibrium, he fell on his side nd couldn't get up, then a while later he could, he's take a couple of steps, then he'd fall over backward. He got a little worse every day, when we could see that he wasn't getting better, we had to kill him. Now I have a hen who is acting the same way, I have no idea what is wrong. If any of you know what is going on, please help me out!

I read on here last night that leg paralysis is a sign of Merek's Disease. You may want to look Merek's Disease up and read everything it says about it. That's about all I know. Maybe someone who knows a lot more will help you. Good Luck!

It does sound like Mereks, is there any possibility that they got into something toxic? Have they had something stressfull happen lately--new additions, pred attack, moved coops.....?
