HELP--Trouble Pipping??? First Timer hatching (-:

HI.
First hatch!
I have about 5 eggs that have pipped on day 20. Most have just cracked and not made a hole....there are 2 that are approaching the 24 hour mark with just cracks but no hole to breathe. my question is how long can their air cells support them without an actual hole? My humidity has between between 67-72% and temp at steady 100.

Give them some time to hatch. hopefully they will come out. Most will come out after 35 hours ! are you hearing them peeping?

thanks for your response. I hear intermittent peeps but can't tell which since there are several that are starting to pip.

they get tired, they are slow! hopefully they will come out soon!

HI...on day 20 I now have 8 of 26 eggs that have either both internally and externally pipped or just internally pipped. i can hear some peeps here and there...the original pipper has still not made a hole per se....just a larger crack maybe. my temp is steady at 100 and himidity at 68-72%.

Hi. well we now have 7 chicks that hatched today on day 20. They are all Blue Wheaten/Wheaten Ameraucanas...strong and healthy appearing thus far. Stay tuned there's several more pipped this evening. My 4 yr old son Jake is thrilled (-: Hoping to get better photos tomorrow too.
