HELP! Tylan 50 dose for sick pullet PIC of needle

I believe 100 units = 1 ml (cc). I tested this some time back by actually squirting 100 units into a ml/cc syringe I had. Please feel free to double check this with a health care professional.

Ok i got it! I asked her how many units that needle was. She said a half. I said so 50 is 1/2 , Yes so give her 25 that will be a quarter. So i gave her to little is that ok? Should i give her more tonight or just .25 tomorrow and add a day. I gave her .05. Boy i am glad i am not a nurse

That's correct. Each mark is 1/10th. If you want larger syringes or needles, I have to be in Winter Haven, Thurday at 3pm.
I can bring you 1cc syringes with a 5/8" 25 gauge needle or 3 cc syringes with a 3/4" 22 gauge needle.
I have extra needles, too, so you can re-use the syringes.
I'll be at the vets on Overlook Drive. My ferrets needs a shot. I come in from Lake county on hwy 33 & take 17, then 544 to 542 to Overlook.
If you want to meet at the Home Depot or somewhere else easy for me to find.

That's amazing, considering how big Winter Haven/Lakeland is.
My vet is Orchid Springs Animal Hospital http://www.osahvets.com/
Dr
. Vargas is my friend. She has some chicken knowledge, too. She helped us out with a dry pox outbreak several years ago.
One of the smartest ferret vets in Florida. Been with her for 12 years. I have other vets, too. Sometimes, they like to go on vacations and you will always have an emergency. (Usually Saturday night, lol ) That's just the nature of having animals!

Anyhooo, let me know if you change your mind. Truthfully, I can't imaging giving a chix a shot with those diabetic needles. I have bent them double on these tough skinned ferrets. BUT, I have never given a chicken a shot. I have no idea how tough their skin is, let alone the issue of feathers!

I did pretty good with the needle. Used it a couple of times! they are VERY thin though. My other leghorn has it's eye shut like the first. Doesn't have any breathing issues. Really strange though. I need to get up to TSC to get the kind you put in the water. I am just afraid they are all getting it and to give each one a shot, figure out who is who...YIKES!
Glad to have this stuff though for really bad issues! And i am over my fear of needles
