help something heavy got dropped ontop on my incubator and the bulb popped. ive now got a new bulb but it now doesnt seem to be turning on and off and the thermometer doesnt seem to be giving a true reading. ive got 12 duck eggs in there that are at the end of day two!!!! i think i have two double yolkers in there two so we could be talking 14 little duckie lives at stake here.

anyone know how to make an emergency incubator. i have two ducklings in a brooder but it wouldnt have humidity in there???????????

Is the bulb the same watt you had in there before? Someone kept some eggs warm in an electric skillet w/lid I read somewhere or a heating pad, while they built one. Good luck.

ok by a pure stroke of luck we bought a vivarium off ebay last night and it has a thermostate on it. we have managed to modify it to the incubator and it seems to be turning the light on and off. not sure if its a true reading as the thermostate setting is on 92 but the thermometer in the bator doesnt have any markings on it other than a red line which the manual says is 100. it has line marks on it above and below the red line but it doesnt say what gradients they are!!!!

heres hoping that i can get it all sorted tomorrow. its 9pm here and everything is shut

any more ideas keep em coming in case this doesnt work

well its still working this morning. i raised the eggs on newspaper last night to get them higher in the heat (due to heat rising)

hope they are still going in there, only time will tell, but at only 92 it will be a late hatch if they stay like this and any make it
