Help! What are these white spots?

What am I looking at here? How emergent is this? He's in with 9 others.
He's a little over a year old, has had this almost a week, and at least one hen has similar spots.

I agree, 1st thought was yeast if some sort

Crud that gets in the nooks and crannies of combs. The yeast cream may resolve the issue, but if it doesn't, then you may have to pick or dig out the material first.

Probably is some type of fungal infection - I don't think anyone ever really figured it out. Not like "traditional looking" Favus since it seems the spots/material/pus is only in nooks and crannies.
