Help!! What breed are these chicks :)

Where else besides TS is a good place to buy chickens? Down side to TS is they are not pro's at knowing the breeds (nor am I)...I thought I was getting an Ameraucana and instead it is a EE
I agree with ChooksnQuilts. Cackle is my go-to hatchery. I've always been thoroughly pleased with their birds and customer service. I recently ordered some Blue Slate poults from Welp too. This was my first time with them, and I was pleasantly surprised. All arrived in extremely good shape. When you find an online hatchery you want to order from, find out where they're located. The closer they are to you, the less traveling the chicks will have to do (assuming our Postal Service doesn't mess something up.). I'm not saying don't order from anywhere really far, but I believe it to contribute with fewer losses. That's one of the reasons I think I've had good luck with Cackle as far as DOA's. They're only four hours away from me. I've never tried Meyer, but I've heard good things about them too. I will say Cackle has a few varieties of pure-bred Ameraucana, though they are probably out for the season.

As far as local places, I try to find people on Craiglist. If I go to a feed store, Bucheit is the best around here. No TS close by. Rural King--very poorly managed Rural Kings I might add. I don't expect them to know everything about poultry (though you'd think the feed department manager would at least know what he/she ordered to at least label it right), but I do expect their brooders to be free of dead chicks and not reeking of death. :hmm
