Help! What is this...

Just found this on one of my four New Hampshire red hens comb. anyone have an idea what this is and how to fix it? Thank you all in advance!

Looks like a pecking injury or scrape. Should heal on its own.

If you have a Rooster/Roosters......It could be from mating or pecking.........

As long as the flock does not start pecking her head from seeing the blood, she will heal fine......Blu-kote helps.....

Ditto Dat^^^^ Looks minor.

Blukote can attract as much pecking attention as blood in my experience...I avoid using it.

In my experience Blu-kote attracts attention as much as blood does, so it is better to let it heal by itself and watch for pecking
