Help!!! My 15 week old chick just pooped this out. What do I treat with?

How is the chicken acting? Is it lethargic or sleepy, puffed up or not eating today? Is it hot, and are they drinking a lot more water? You could try treating with Corid for coccidiosis. Worming might also be something to consider, and usually SafeGuard liquid goat wormer or horse paste, or Valbazen is also used. Let me know and I can get dosages.

No is acting out of the ordinary and seems to be fine. Most of the poop I’ve seen seems to be normal looking for the most part but every now and then I see some like in the pic I posted above. Is that something to still be concerned about or is that normal occasionally? I also just put apple cider vinegar in their water.

ACV doesn’t really do anything, and I would avoid it during hot weather. If your regular vet would let you bring in some droppings for a fecal float, you could get tested for coccidiosis and worms. Many just go ahead and treat if those things are suspected.

I treated everyone for corid about a month ago, so I didn’t want to overdose them. It’s a cooler day today and all cloudy fortunately. I will keep that in mind about the ACV. Is it possible it could be a respiratory infection poop? If I can’t figure it out, I will definitely try to see if a vet can help me out.

If any act droopy or lethargic, then it might be good to repeat the Corid. Many vets won’t do fecal floats unless they see the chicken.

I saw one of those poops DURING a Corid treatment and everyone is fine now. But for the record, you really can't OD Corid. I accidentally single dose treated a pullet, a full 2.0 instead of .2. She's all good....

So should a treat them again with corid, or just monitor everyone and see? I’ve had a few sneezing every now and then. I had a chick die recently from what I think was a respiratory infection. I am a new chicken owner so every little sneeze and weird poop has me on edge lol.
