HELP! White Rock with small worms, purple vent area, srange breathing.

My 4 year old White plymouth rock hen, is breathing abnormaly, laying down , and has a purple vent area.

My mom found small worms sticking out of her vent.

I just lost my rhode island red yesturday and i'm hoping i don't lose her.

You need to worm your chickens with valbazen (albendazole.) It is a liquid cattle/sheep wormer. Dosage is given orally, 1/2cc for standard size chickens...1/4cc for smaller chickens. Reworm them again 10 days later, same dosage. There is a grand total 24 day withdrawal period. You can purchase it online from Jefferslivestock.com or call them. Valbazen kills all known types of worms that chickens get including tapeworms.

She has worms! You need to worm her immediately! I like to use the horse wormer paste(Ivermectin)--just a small dallop in the mouth. they also have ivermectin in pour on. Whatever you use, you need to do it quickly. Worms will kill a chicken fast!
