I have 2 Buff Oprington, 1 black Marans, 1 Welsummer and 2 Silver Seabrights. All pullets. The Seabrights are around 25 weeks and all the others are around 25-28 weeks.

I got our very first egg last week. Yay!! Since then I have had 1 egg per day. Today I got 2! The first around 3pm and the second around 6 pm. Can one chicken lay 2 eggs in one day, or do I have 2 chickens laying now?

Also, I have no clue who is laying these. The color isn't right for the Welsummer or Marans, so I am thinking it's the Buff Orp's or the Seabrights. They are pretty small...

I agree with oaxa that it is probably the BO. They will lay light colored like that sometimes.

Thanks! Is it typical for a BO to lay 2 eggs at different times in one day, or do you think possibly both of my BO's are laying now?

They only lay once per day. You now have two layers, congrats!
X 2 soon you will have plenty of eggs

Yay!!!! Thanks so much, everyone!! I'm so excited! It's incredibly rewarding to raise these baby chicks into hens and get to gather those eggs!

Wow... Those are realy light compared to my BO's.... Interesting to see!

That's what I thought! I wonder if they darken with the age of the chicken? I have no idea. I don't think it's the Welsummer or Marans because both of those will lay super dark eggs.
