Help with 2 year old chicken with enlarged crop/breast

Hi chicken whisperers! My neighbors are having trouble with a hen. She looks like she now has a giant crop/breast and has stopped laying. Other than that, she seems perfectly fine. They haven’t checked her poop, and she’s scratching and drinking just like a normal chicken from my short observation of her. This has been going on for a few days. They have small kids, not enough time to get online, and asked me for help. I’ve never had this situation before, but I said I’d post on here. Any ideas and/or suggestions? Here are some pics of her. These two also free range from their yard around my hen house and enclosure, so I’m hoping whatever it is, it’s not contagious. Thanks a lot for any help!

That appears to be her crop. She may have a crop issue, or something going on farther down. I will link to a couple of good articles on crop issues, help with diagnosing what may be going on (the causes can be varied and numerous) and possible treatments. They are good and helpful articles.
