Help with ailing coturnix

I have a female coturnix who has lost a good number of her tail feathers, exposing the flesh on her hind end. The tail feathers that are left are dirty, covered with poop. She is laying currently -- we got an egg today. This came up just a couple of days ago. Can anyone help?

What Is The Feather Loss From? I Mean Has She Been Picked On, Or Are They Just Spontaneously Falling Out?

1st Thing I Recommend Is Cleaning The Area And Coating With Blue Cote

I don't know if the feathers were picked or just started falling out. As soon as we noticed it, we isolated her from the other birds. Haven't heard of Blue Cote -- can you tell me what that is?
