Help with baby ducks

Wow, what a pool! Looks like a zoo exhibit. Is mom a Black Swedish? The ducklings are adorable!

Now I must ask, are they all able to get out of that pool easily? It looks a bit difficult for a duckling to get up those steep sides. You wouldn't want any to get stuck in there and chill or drown.

The pool is actually a waterfall but the pump is broken right now. They are able to get out of it now. The first 2 weeks they went in a smaller plastic pool near by or in their water bowl. I hope they survive this time. If they come through the fence my little dogs play too rough and kill them. If you have any other advice please let me know. Do water turtles kill ducklings? Not snapping turtles. I have 2 turtles about 12" in diameter and a smaller one in the pond as well.

All things ducks interact with do have a chance to cause them harm. those are pretty big turtles, I wouldn't really want my ducks around them even if they weren't snapping turtles....they shouldn't hurt ducks but they are wild creatures and I just don't trust wildlife to do what it's supposed to.

They've been together for almost 2 years. They eat together while swimming around and sunbathe together on the rocks. I heard turtles weren't meat eaters other than little gold fish. Just thought I better ask any way.

If they've functioned together, it's probably fine then. Turtles will eat much the same as ducks. Besides the threat of salminilla, I can't see non-snapping turtles causing any trouble, but I never want to recommend it because you just never know.

Just like my dog....she, herself is great. She's never so much as said boo to the ducks even when they stole her waiting pool. (which was a BIG DEAL, she lives in that thing in the summer). She sat miserably 3 feet away while the yelling, happy, splasshy ducks had the time of their lives. She was afraid of them, lol!!!! Yet most people are not so lucky with their dogs.

I'm only afraid for the ducklings. I have a Rott that is a chicken killer but hasn't messed with our grown ducks the couple of times they've gotten out. The Chihuahua's the duckling killer. He does the same with baby chicks.
