Help with breed and sex

Might be too soon to tell but I’m thinking this is a rooster. 4 weeks old and comb is turning pinkish and it has a short tail. I have 2 barred rocks and another unknown which like to be picked up and petted, but this one always squawks and scratches when I need to remove it from bin. It seems a little smaller than the others but they are all 4 weeks.

Probably a cockerel, but I wouldn't call it just yet. Post again at 6 weeks.

It could be a Rhode Island red or maybe an Easter egger like Starlight Green egger.

Oh darn! We got 4 chicks from a friend. Luckily we can exchange any males for females. Wouldn’t you know I picked that one because it was so pretty, and my husband picked out the others. lol

He is going to be something special in the looks department. It appears his wing feathers a frizzled. If so, he would be out of this world.

Yep we will wait a month or two and see what happens. We are just starting out with chickens and so far it’s been a lot of fun and not as nerve wracking as I thought.
